National Experts Consultation
RWEDP Report No.50, 2000
Despite the importance of wood energy for most of RWEDPs member countries, wood energy development issues have never been fully integrated into the training and education curricula of leading national forestry, agroforestry and engineering
institutes of these countries.
In order to examine the current coverage of wood energy issues in the curricula of the leading national forestry and agro-forestry institutes in India, RWEDP organized a National Expert Consultation on the subject in December 1998. RWEDP cooperated with the Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy (IGNFA), and the Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM) in managing this consultation. This report covers the findings of this expert consultation.
