Wood Energy Database

Summary data

The RWEDP Wood Energy Database contains a wealth of data on various aspects related to wood energy for the 16 RWEDP member countries. The data have been collected by RWEDP from various sources, such as national and international agencies, research work and miscellaneous publications. Data are recorded as reported, e.g. using the original units and classifications, although minor standardization has been applied for some terms (e.g. firewood/fuelwood, residential/households). The objective of the database is to make available all the data available to RWEDP, while data interpretation is left to the user. Note that for several items, more than one figure is available, since different sources present different data. These data may be conflicting, so care should be taken in using the data. For a quick overview of the main items, refer to the summary data.

The database is implemented in MS Access and can be used off-line. The database is available in the 97 and XP versions of MS Access. To use this database you need to have one of these versions installed on your computer. Information about installing and using the Wood Energy Database is available in the Readme file.
